Service Role Progression
Everyone at Validation has an opportunity to grow their skills, learn new responsibilities, and progress their role. We believe that folks who lean-in and do great work should be rewarded - and what it takes to get promoted should be clear.
This is a list of Front of House roles, each link will describe the expectations of the role and the accomplishments needed to promote to the next role.
Beertender
Everyone that joins Validation will start as a Beertender. Compensation is minimum wage plus a healthy tip allotment from the tip pool. To progress, a Beertender needs to consistently perform their responsibilities and complete a serious of competency tests, signed off by other members of the team.
Specialist
A Specialist is someone who has proven they are dependable, trustworthy, and an effective team player. Compensation is minimum wage +$2/hr and a healthy tip allotment from the tip pool. As a Specialist you will have a higher likelyhood of being scheduled during your ideal day/time & have the ability to be a closer. As an added bonus, a Specialist is eligible for Side Hustle opportunities.
Captain
The elite, most valuable players on the team will be Captains. With the highest ideal shift priority, $5/hr increase over min wage, and 3% higher tip pool allotment a Captain at Validation has the highest compensation and with it, greater responsibility. In addition to the Specialist responsibilities, each Captain will choose a "Growth Function" and take on a small but very meaningful part of the business operation.
